GETTING STARTED: AFFORDING FERTILITY TREATMENT

Once you have a fertility treatment plan in place, you will meet with a financial counselor who will help you coordinate payment. Some patients use a combination of their health insurance benefits and personal savings to fund their fertility treatment plan. Others apply for financing offered by RSI or simply use Visa, Mastercard, or American Express.

Accepted Insurance Plans:

Fertility benefits vary by insurance provider as well as employer.  Some plans cover laboratory services only while others provide extensive coverage.  It is important to note that few plans provide full coverage for fertility treatments.  We encourage you to contact your insurance company to help you make the best financial decisions for you and your family.

Questions to Ask your Insurance Company:

  1. What are my fertility benefits?
  2. Do I need a referral?
  3. Do I have a co-pay for deductible for fertility treatments?
  4. Does my insurance cover diagnostic evaluation for infertility?
  5. Does my insurance cover physician, hospital and lab charges?
  6. Does my insurance cover treatment for infertility such as artificial insemination or in-vitro fertilization?
  7. What treatments are excluded?
  8. Are donor sperm and/or donor egg options covered?
  9. Which medications are covered?
  10. Does my insurance require use of a specific contracted pharmacy?
  11. Does my insurance require use of a specific contracted laboratory?

If You Do Not Have Fertility Insurance Coverage:

If you do not have insurance coverage for your fertility care, there are other options available. We offer financing programs for different treatment options and we accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

If You Are Comparing Treatment Prices:

We understand that cost is a major factor in your infertility plan.  If you have already identified your treatment options and are comparing prices, please contact our financial counselor at 610-981-6000.
